For which applications is the KRASO Sealing Insert suitable?
The sealing insert is suitable for all types of pipe penetrations, e.g. for water, waste water, cable or media pipes in waterproof concrete structures in accordance with the waterproofing guideline, stress classes 1 and 2.
Is the KRASO Sealing Insert watertight against water pressure?
Yes. Depending on the version, the KRASO Sealing Insert Type ED + DD + VD provides reliable protection against water pressure of up to 8 bar and is MPA-certified.
What is the Torque Control Nut KRASO DKM?
The KRASO DKM is a Torque Control Nut and automatically ensures that the correct tightening torque is reached – a torque wrench is not required. This ensures a secure and consistent sealing.
What material is the KRASO Sealing Insert made of?
The sealing insert is made of V2A stainless steel with 5 mm-thick clamping plates and a specially developed rubber compound. A V4A version is available as an option for an additional charge.
Is the KRASO Sealing Insert gas- and odour-tight?
Yes, the sealing insert is gas- and odour-tight and it meets the requirements of TA-Air, making it suitable for sensitive areas as well.
Does the KRASO Sealing Insert also protect against radon?
Yes. The radon barrier has been tested by the IAF. The sealing insert meets the requirements for radon-prone areas as specified in FHRK leaflet MB 101.
Is the KRASO Sealing Insert also available for retrofit installation?
Yes. The ED/T and DD/T Types are available in a split design and are ideal for retrofit installation with existing lines.
Are customised diameters possible for the KRASO Sealing Insert?
