KRASO TIGHT IN EVERY DETAIL TOUR 2026: practical knowledge for waterproof concrete elements
Whether it’s a single-family home or an industrial facility – building with waterproof concrete is one of the most challenging tasks in structural engineering. To prevent moisture damage, every detail counts right from the planning stage. That is why KRASO is organizing the nationwide lecture series "TIGHT IN EVERY DETAIL – DafStb waterproof concrete guideline and fresh concrete composite systems“ in 2026.
Following a successful launch event at our headquarters in Rhede, we are taking the next step: we are bringing first-class expert knowledge on the DafStb guideline directly to your region. At four events in Munich, Frankfurt, Berlin and Hamburg, architects, engineers and contractors will learn everything about the current standards and their practical implementation.
Theory meets the construction site: our experts on site
We are delighted to have secured the participation of two of the industry’s most distinguished figures for this tour:
• Prof. Dr. Rainer Hohmann (Dortmund University of Applied Sciences): as an authority in building physics and a member of numerous DIN committees, he combines scientific depth with fascinating insights into structural waterproofing.
• Dipl. Ing. Thomas Zitzelsberger: the renowned expert and consultant in concrete technology knows exactly where theory and on-site practice converge and provides practical solutions for planning.
What to expect: a day full of insights
The programme is tightly structured and practice-oriented. We start at 09 am and cover all key topics by the afternoon:
• Responsibilities & liability: who needs to know what?
• System solutions: from joint sealing to fresh concrete composite systems.
• Focus on precast walls: specific considerations when working with precast elements.
In addition to the specialist presentations, we place great emphasis on personal interaction. The coffee breaks and lunch together provide the ideal setting for your networking.
