Yes, the seal is MPA-tested and provides reliable protection against water pressure of up to 2.5 bar or 5 bar, depending on the version selected.

- gas- and odour-tight in accordance with TA-Luft

What materials are used as standard?
As standard, the KRASO Sealing Insert Type SD consists of:
- 5 mm thick clamping plates made of V2A stainless steel
- a 30 mm or 60 mm thick seal made from a specially developed rubber compound
- welded-on bolts for high stability
What additional material grades are available at an extra cost?
For an additional charge, the KRASO Sealing Insert Type SD is also available in the following grades:
- V4A stainless steel – for particularly aggressive environments
- KTW-recommended version – for drinking water applications
- NBR seal – resistant to oil and petrol, and temperature-resistant up to 220 °C
